About me

I'm Laura, a friendly and supportive piano teacher based in Rawtenstall, Rossendale

I have a deep-rooted love for music that began in childhood, and have been playing the piano for over 35 years. Over this time, I have honed my abilities to become a highly skilled pianist and teacher.

My mission is simple

Ultimately, I don't want you to need a piano teacher at all.

I will teach you to read music, improvise, and give you a solid foundation in music theory and piano technique so you can go on to play anything you like. I create a comfortable environment for learning and exploration. I tailor my lessons to your individual needs and goals, ensuring each student's progress is celebrated and nurtured.

• I am a member of EPTA UK, a professional organisation which promotes excellence in piano teaching and performance. 

• I am certified in Safeguarding Level 2, and my DBS certificate is available on request.

• I teach from home, offering my students the opportunity to learn on my Steinway & Sons acoustic piano, or online via FaceTime. 

• My adult students have access to a private Facebook group— a supportive community where they can share performances, connect with others, and feel part of something bigger, making piano learning a more connected and enjoyable experience.
